Rebuild Broken or Weak Teeth

A crown is a big repair for a badly damaged tooth.

It usually looks like a hollow tooth that fits over a very careful preparation of whatever remains. Very much like a top hat fitting over a smaller top hat. Crowns are used to protect, cover, and restore the shape of your teeth when fillings don’t solve the problem.

Crowns are often used to restore a tooth that suffered severe decay. Crowns can also be used to fill teeth that have been badly worn down from years of grinding away at them or to completely reconstruct an area where multiple teeth are missing. Or you may need a crown to hold a permanent bridge in place.

Crowns can be made from a variety of different materials depending on your requirements and often look exactly like perfect natural teeth. Dental crowns can be made out of metals, porcelain, resin and ceramics. They typically don’t require special care over time other than regular good oral hygiene.

What are the signs of tooth decay?

Toothache – Toothache can be one of the most painful sensations known to man. It’s hard to imagine anyone wanting to keep going through this, especially if it keeps you awake at night or causes occasional sharp pain. Crowns are often the best way to help relieve this kind of problem.

Tooth Sensitivity – Tooth sensitivity generally happens when your tooth enamel wears away or dissolves. You may feel tenderness or pain when eating or drinking something hot, cold or sweet.

Discolouration – If you see grey, brown or black spots appearing on your teeth, you may have dental cavities. Crowns are a popular way to cover broken, chipped and decayed teeth. A crown is used to restore the function and natural look of your teeth

Bad Breath -Tooth decay is essentially a bacterial infection in your mouth that affects the surface of your tooth (enamel). The bacteria multiply and create toxins that eat away at the enamel, which lead to tooth decay. This is turn results in bad breath.
