When we talk about orthodontics, it comes down to one thing – the alignment of teeth.
No two sets of teeth are the same, and each grows in its own unique way. So much so, that 90 percent of people have teeth that are at least somewhat misaligned or overlapping, most where there are structural issues affecting your bite and your smile’s aesthetic. In more severe cases, especially in adulthood, these crooked teeth can heavily increase your risk of gum disease and tooth decay because the overlap is preventing you from effectively cleaning these teeth. This is why orthodontic treatment can be highly beneficial, and even life-changing.
Everyone deserves to have a great set of teeth and a smile they feel proud of. Here at Sundrive Dental and Implant Clinic, we offer a variety of orthodontic treatments, including traditional fixed braces, Invisalign/Clear Aligners, and Six Month Smiles.
Contrary to common belief, orthodontic treatment isn’t just for children. Whilst it’s true that orthodontic concerns are generally best treated early, treatment can be of great benefit to adult patients, who have more options than ever in the past. Thanks to the development of brace designs over the past few decades, orthodontic treatment is no longer invasive and uncomfortable. Fit your treatment around your day-to-day life and have a beautiful-looking smile throughout the brace-wearing period, thanks to the discreet brace designs of today.
We will carry out a detailed analysis of your mouth and examine your bite and tooth structure, to formulate a plan that addresses your specific concerns.

FAQ
Traditional metal braces or “train-tracks” are a popular treatment method for straightening teeth. Brackets are bonded to the teeth, connected by arch wires which effectively then adjust and move the teeth. Coloured brackets are available – popular with our younger patients.
Similar in design to the metal braces, but brackets and wires are colourless/tooth coloured so are much less visible than metal braces.
Individual transparent aligners which look like gum shields. These are placed over the teeth at regular intervals, which then move and adjust teeth over time.
